ANN ARBOR, MI—Altarum Institute, a leader in transforming systems of health and health care, has appointed Sheena Gill, J.D. as its chief administrative officer, senior vice president, and general counsel. In her new role, Ms. Gill will oversee Altarum’s legal, contracts, human resources, and procurement functions and report directly to CEO Lincoln Smith.
Selected as part of Washington Business Journal's 2016 Top 40 Business Leaders under 40, Ms. Gill is active in the Washington, D.C. business community, serving as a board member of multiple organizations, including The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE DC) and Rezon8 Capital and Advisory Services. She is a recognized expert in government contracting law and a frequent speaker at events hosted by the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, the South Asian Bar Association, and the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce, among others.
Ms. Gill joins Altarum after having served as vice president and general counsel for C2 Technologies, Inc. She brings experience in contracts, corporate law, governance, litigation, human resources, corporate strategy, and entrepreneurship. Prior to her executive-level appointments, she practiced law in the D.C. metro area and clerked with Maryland District Court Judge Mary Beth McCormick. Prior to that, she served in the offices of Senator John Warner of Virginia and Senator Spencer Abraham of Michigan.
Gill holds a Juris Doctor Degree and Mediation Certification from the University of Baltimore, and is admitted to the bar in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service and an Asian Studies Certificate from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.
