Jason Young serves as president of Altarum's subsidiary, Palladian Partners.
Young is a two-time Obama-Biden Administration appointee. He first served at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs from 2012 to 2014. Then from 2016 to 2017, he served as Senior Advisor to the Commissioner of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. Young has dedicated his career to bettering people’s lives, especially through work to improve health care, boost mental health, close gaps and disparities in care, and help solve food insecurity.
In the private sector, Young led external relations for AARP and was chief communications officer at the American Psychiatric Association. He also led two public relations practices and taught at Georgetown University.
Young earned his B.A. in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. In 2018, he earned an MBA from Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and was elected his class speaker. He is an active volunteer with City Wildlife.
