For over 15 years, Katie has worked with community-based organizations (CBOs), health plans and health systems to develop and implement care models focused on social determinants of health. She has expertise in working with managed care plans, aging network CBOs, large health systems, state and federal contractors, and Medicare and Medicaid regulations. She has led the development and implementation of long-term services and supports (LTSS), transitional care, and consumer direct care coordination models designed to improve participants overall quality of health. Drawing on her experience in home and community based services (HCBS), Katie leads Altarum’s LTSS workforce management programs, including the development and implementation of the Direct Care Careers Center—a comprehensive workforce management platform designed to help states better understand, manage, and support their direct care workers and providers.
