ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Altarum Institute has received the 2013 Workplace Excellence Award and Health & Wellness Trailblazer Award from the Alliance for Workplace Excellence (AWE) and is recognized in the Greater Washington, D.C. area as one of the best places to work.

AWE has been giving these awards for the past 14 years and recognizes companies from all across the U.S., with the majority concentrated in the D.C. metropolitan area. Collectively, the winners represent more than 1 million employees from organizations of all sizes and in all sectors – private, public, and nonprofit.

The Workplace Excellence and Health & Wellness Trailblazers Awards highlight businesses that promote professional fulfillment and personal wellness at work, at home, and in the community, and have demonstrated merit in each of the following categories:
