Anna Schoenbach was an intern at Altarum Institute. She wrote about behavioral health news for the monthly BHChat newsletter, and also supported Altarum’s Aspirin Project in a similar capacity.
Ms. Schoenbach graduated with a BA in Biological Sciences from Mount Holyoke College in 2013, and is currently working towards her Masters degree in the Science Writing graduate program at Johns Hopkins University. She previously interned at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park, where she honed her skills at communicating complicated facts in short, easily understandable sentences for a mixed audience. She interned there for two years before coming to work for Altarum.
Ms. Schoenbach has always been interested in how the facts of science relate to the reality of people. As a fresh pair of eyes, Anna has found that her background in science and education in writing give her a unique perspective on behavioral health. In her writing, she draws from this unique perspective to look at these issues from other, sometimes surprising, directions.
