He works with small and large medical practices, clinics, and hospitals to help streamline processes and optimize workflows using Lean principles, best practices, and health information technology (IT) tools. Lean techniques and tools are designed to improve efficiency and reduce waste in order to better meet the needs of patients and customers.

As an experienced health care performance improvement consultant, Mr. Calderone brings more than 15 years of Lean and health care performance improvement consulting expertise to Altarum.

With a master’s degree in organizational management, Mr. Calderone also has extensive experience in leadership development/coaching, strategic planning, project management, and business development.

Mr. Calderone has helped dozens of organizations implement critical changes that have resulted in increased quality and improved financial performance. A few highlighted examples include reducing wait times in emergency departments, reducing inpatient falls, and improving patient flow in medical practices.
