Vice President and Corporate Controller

Mr. Gilbert has been a member of the Altarum Institute Team for more than 17 years. As corporate controller, his responsibilities include implementation and oversight of accounting and financial reporting functions at the Institute and its various other nonprofit and for-profit subsidiaries. Mr. Gilbert’s other responsibilities include budgeting, cash management, tax preparation, audit completion, and facilitation of compliance with various government agencies.

Mr. Gilbert joined the Institute in 1998 as a Senior Financial Analyst before becoming the Institute’s corporate controller in September 2001. Before joining the Institute, Mr. Gilbert was a senior financial analyst with Philips Display Components Company, a division of Philips Electronics North America Corporation. Prior to his work at Philips, he served as the financial accounting supervisor for Michigan Gas Utilities, a division of UtiliCorp United.

Mr. Gilbert holds a bachelor of arts in accounting from Eastern Michigan University.
