As Technical Writer/Editor with Altarum Institute’s Research Analytics, Hendi Crosby Kowal contributes to numerous projects, proposals, and other business development efforts. She writes content for reports, curricula, and literature reviews. In addition, she provides editorial support across RA.
Ms. Crosby Kowal joined Altarum in late 2015. Previously, she was an independent consultant, providing content development and research and evaluation support to numerous clients, including the University of California, San Francisco’s National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health and Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine. Ms. Crosby Kowal is the former Director of Public Health Initiatives at Danya International, Inc. In this role, she was responsible for business development and project oversight. She served as Principal Investigator on several projects addressing reproductive health in vulnerable populations and as Project Director on numerous other projects funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
Ms. Crosby Kowal has extensive experience designing, implementing, and evaluating programs and materials in numerous content areas, including HIV/STD prevention, parent-child communication, and deafness/cochlear implants. She has expertise in programs designed for a range of audiences, including health care providers, educators, parents, at-risk women, and youth. Over the course of her professional career, she has spearheaded the development and writing of numerous winning grant proposals.
Ms. Crosby Kowal has an MPH from The George Washington University, where her area of focus was Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. She earned her BA from Tufts University, where she majored in English and French.
