Implementation Lead, Health Innovations and Technical Assistance

Imen Alem is a Public Health Analyst in Altarum Institute’s Health Innovations and Technical Assistance group. She is the Implementation Lead for the Michigan Caries Prevention Program, which is Altarum’s Health Care Innovation Award Round 2 project funded by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation to reduce the burden of childhood dental disease in Michigan.

Ms. Alem facilitates the development of Michigan’s Dental Registry, building an IT solution to significantly advance oral health coordination between the medical, dental, and public health stakeholders in Michigan. She also coordinates project reporting to CMS and facilitates communication with program evaluators.

Before coming to Altarum, Ms. Alem was an Analyst at Blue Cottage Consulting. Her work focused on operational and transition consulting, which includes guiding clients in how they will operate efficiently in a new space. She has also provided market and population health analysis and support for complex strategic planning engagements.

Ms. Alem received her master of health service administration degree and a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from the University of Michigan.
