ACA Research Collaborative

In August 2014, the OPA funded four competitive cooperative agreements to create the ACA Collaborative. The three primary grantees are Altarum, Guttmacher Institute, and the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association.

National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities

Altarum supported the Office of Minority Health (OMH) on the National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities (NPA), a national movement intended to mobilize a nationwide, comprehensive, community-driven, and sustained approach to combating health disparities.

Altarum leads the strategic development and expansion of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute's Community Health Worker Health Disparities Initiative.

Decent Care Values

Altarum led the first research and demonstration project of Decent Care Values, a unique model that constructs health care based on affected people voicing what they need and want while living with disease and illness.

MCH Training & Research Resource Center

Altarum provides technical support to the HRSA Maternal and Child Health Bureau's Division of MCH Workforce Development and the MCHB Extramural Research Program through the Maternal and Child Health Training and Research Resource Center.

Office of Adolescent Health Strategic Planning

Over the course of 3 years, 2010-2012, Altarum assisted the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Adolescent Health in the development of three key planning frameworks: Office strategic plan; annual action plan for the HHS Adolescent Health Working Group; and a conceptual framework for developing the national adolescent health agenda.

Center for Food and Nutrition: News

Altarum's Center for Food and Nutrition publishes a quarterly online newsletter highlighting its strategic initiatives, project work and partnerships to strengthen food assistance and nutrition programs at the national, state and local levels.

The WIC Participant-Centered Services Model

Altarum's Center for Food and Nutrition has conducted WIC Participant-Centered Services assessments in over 30 states in multiple USDA Regions.

Act Against AIDS Leadership Initiative (AAALI)

Altarum supported the network of Act Against AIDS Leadership Initiative (AAALI) organizations to integrate HIV prevention activities into their missions and day-to-day activities.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition and Food Assistance Education Programs

Altarum has been involved in several projects to assess and promote nutrition education programs targeting low-income families, including those eligible for the Special Supplemental Program for WIC.

Preparing State Substance Abuse Agencies for Health Care Reform

Altarum assisted SAMHSA in providing technical assistance and training to help all 50 state substance abuse agencies respond to the requirements of health care reform, individual State initiatives, and new federal regulations.

Social Media for HHS's Office on Women's Health

Altarum’s subsidiary, Palladian Partners, plays a key role in crafting social media strategies for clients and creating and presenting content to engage varied audiences.

Altarum operates the RCSP Technical Assistance Center for SAMHSA/CSAT, providing a wide range of recovery-oriented TA and training to this nationwide network of peer-run programs.

Action Plan for the Prevention, Care, and Treatment of Viral Hepatitis (Office of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Disease Policy)

Altarum assists the HHS Office of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Disease Policy (OHAIDP) in implementing, monitoring, and promoting public awareness about the groundbreaking Viral Hepatitis Action Plan.

Multi-Sectorial Partnerships (MSP) for HIV/ AIDS Awareness, Prevention, and Mobilization

Under the MSP contract, Altarum helps the CDC identify, recruit, engage, and coordinate multi-sectorial HIV/AIDS partnerships with organizations from all sectors, including arts/ entertainment, business/labor, civic/social, faith, health, and media.
