Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology Federal Advisory Committees Support

Altarum's Digital Communications Support team provides program management and technical support to the Office of the National Coordinator's (ONC) Federal Advisory Committees (FACAs).

National Institute of Neurological Disease and Stroke (NINDS) Center for Clinical Research Data Management, Methodology, Monitoring Services, Statistical Design, and Quality Control

KAI Research, Inc., a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of Altarum, provided an array of clinical research support services for the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), which included monitoring quality assurance in Institute-sponsored clinical trials, development of a classification system of NINDS Research Projects; tracking clinical projects through the automated Clinical Information Project System (CLIPS); statistical and methodological support; data management services to the Specialized Program of Transitional Research in Acute Stroke (SPOTRIAS) network; and development of the NINDS Common Data Elements (CDE) data standards designed to facilitate data collection and data sharing.

National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical and Data Management Services

KAI Research, Inc., a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of Altarum, was responsible for coordination of clinical and data management services for twenty-two Phase I and II clinical trials for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

National Institute on Aging (NIA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Trials Operations Support Center

KAI Research, Inc., a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of Altarum, provides comprehensive support for the National Institute on Aging as the Institute’s Clinical Trials Operations Support Center. Activities include clinical trials operations support, quality assurance, safety-related operations support, statistical and methodological consultation, training, and maintenance of the NIA Human Intervention Studies database.

National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical and Data Management Services

KAI Research, Inc., a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of Altarum, supported several clinical studies sponsored by NIMH under the Clinical and Data Management Services contract, including the Multimodal Treatment Study of Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (MTA) Follow-up Study, the Risperidone and Behavioral Therapy in the Treatment of Children and Adolescents with Pervasive Development Disorders (PDD) Study; and the Treatment of Adolescent Suicide Attempters (TASA) Study.

Office of Adolescent Health Strategic Planning

Over the course of 3 years, 2010-2012, Altarum assisted the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Adolescent Health in the development of three key planning frameworks: Office strategic plan; annual action plan for the HHS Adolescent Health Working Group; and a conceptual framework for developing the national adolescent health agenda.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition and Food Assistance Education Programs

Altarum has been involved in several projects to assess and promote nutrition education programs targeting low-income families, including those eligible for the Special Supplemental Program for WIC.

National Health Information Infrastructure Conference

Altarum provided logistics and planning support to the National Health Information Infrastructure Conference, a Secretarial Summit on Health Information Technology.

American Health Information Community (AHIC) Meetings and Support

Altarum supports the work of the American Health Information Community (AHIC), chartered to promote the use of health information technologies, through the coordination and facilitation of numerous expert in-person and Web-based meetings.

Learning Partnership to Decrease Disparities in Pediatric Asthma

Altarum manages the Learning Partnership, which is supported by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

Technologies for Critical Incident Preparedness Conference and Exhibition

Palladian Partners, an Altarum subsidiary, worked with the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Defense and 10 partnering organizations to develop branded promotional and meeting materials for the 2010 Technologies for Critical Incident Preparedness Conference and Exhibition.
