Physician Engagement Lead, Health Innovation and Technical Assistance

As the Physician Engagement Lead in Altarum’s Center for Appropriate Care within the Health Innovation and Technical Assistance group, Carley Kirk works on a number of projects focused on primary care provider recruitment and adoption of quality improvement interventions.

She has more than 8 years of combined experience supervising dental clinical patient care and dental ambulatory surgeries, assisting health systems in meeting physician recruitment goals, and managing statewide medical education initiatives. Ms. Kirk oversees Altarum’s medical education programs that offer primary care providers maintenance of certification and continuing medical education credits for participating in quality improvement programs.

Before coming to Altarum, Ms. Kirk was the program manager at the Michigan Chapter American Academy of Pediatrics. Her role included developing membership recruitment outreach plans, staffing and coordinating various statewide committees and meetings, managing medical education programs, and developing funding proposals.

Ms. Kirk holds a master’s of science in health education and a bachelor’s of science in biology from the University of Michigan.
