Lynn Quincy works on a wide variety of health policy issues, focusing primarily on the areas of consumer protection, strategies that provide better value for our healthcare dollar and health insurance reform at the federal and state levels. In 2015 with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Ms. Quincy launched the Healthcare Value Hub, a new center that helps advocates and others address high healthcare costs, lack of transparency and uneven quality. Her past work includes consumer testing of new health insurance disclosure forms and tax credit explainers, and advocating for better health insurance literacy. She presents regularly at professional conferences, provides expert testimony in state and federal settings and occasionally tweets. Prior to joining Altarum, Ms. Quincy held senior positions at Consumers Union, the policy and advocacy arm of Consumer Reports, Mathematica Policy Research, Inc., the Institute for Health Policy Solutions and Watson Wyatt Worldwide (now Willis Towers Watson). She holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland.
