Altarum Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Laura Sankey will join an expert panel at the 2023 Health Datapalooza on Friday, February 24th at 1:45 pm ET. “How Can the Healthcare Industry Address Dirty Data?” will discuss the importance of ensuring data quality and data sharing across federal agencies, payers, and other health care stakeholders.

The moderator-guided discussion will cover the root causes and costs of poor data quality, along with technology solutions for, and financial benefits of, improved data quality. In addition to Ms. Sankey, panelists include Mona Siddiqui, MD, MPH, MSE, senior vice president at Humana Home Solutions and former chief data officer at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS); Ashok Chennuru, MS, chief data and analytics officer at Elevance Health; and Amit Garg, chief executive officer at HiLabs, Inc. The discussion will be moderated by Tanisha Carino, PhD, a partner at Brunswick Group.

A program of AcademyHealth, Health Datapalooza brings together attendees from across the health care landscape—from federal policymakers and regulatory leads to the health system chief officers to startups to patients—to discuss the future of health data and the policies and innovations that will spark real transformation in health care. The in-person event runs February 23–24, 2023, in Arlington, Virginia.
