Vice President, Operations
Anya Day serves as Altarum’s Vice President of Operations. In this capacity she leads the work of four units (Communications and Public Affairs, Business Development, Philanthropic Relations, and the Project Management Office) that support Altarum’s client work and strategic endeavors across Population Health and Connected Health. She previously served as the Director of Altarum’s Center for Appropriate Care where she directed programs that help providers and health systems improve quality through technology, continuing education, and better coordination among care teams.
In addition to her operational role, Anya continues to lead quality improvement projects and is the principal investigator for two AHRQ funded projects: the Michigan Sustained Patient-centered Alcohol-Related Care (MI-SPARC) Trial and Healthy Hearts for Michigan, an AHRQ Evidence NOW: Building State Capacity award. Anya previously served as the director and now chairs the board for a seven-state collaborative to implement CMS’s Quality Payment Program across the Midwest.
Since joining Altarum in 2008 as a Research Analyst, Anya has led business proposals and the design and implementation of many federal, state and philanthropically funded projects to improve the meaningful use of electronic health records and health data, promote quality improvement and health equity and drive health care transformation.
Prior to joining Altarum, Anya was the Associate Program Director and Survey Research Coordinator for the Center for Health Care Excellence at the Michigan Public Health Institute. Anya earned her Master of Public Health degree from University of Michigan and her BS in medical biology from Beloit College.Areas of Expertise
