Altarum to Support VA National Cemetery Administration Survey Program

August 18, 2025

Altarum will provide research and analytic support to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ National Cemetery Administration (NCA) as part of a multi-year customer satisfaction survey contract awarded to Tribility.

These annual surveys gather feedback from Veterans, their families, and funeral directors to help NCA assess and improve experiences with burial services, memorial products, and cemetery operations. The results help the NCA ensure these services meet the highest standards of care, dignity, and respect.

Tribility—a joint venture between Trilogy Federal and Ibility LLC—received the prime contract to lead the project. Altarum will be responsible for fielding, analyzing, and reporting on four major survey programs. These include instruments to measure satisfaction with national and state Veterans cemeteries, memorial products, and funeral director interactions.

Altarum’s role will include:

  • Survey design and administration of web survey
  • Sampling and data collection
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Operational support
  • Compliance and data security

“Collecting meaningful, actionable feedback is essential to understanding how Veterans and their families experience NCA services,” said Erin Butto, senior director, applied research and analytics. “We’re honored to support this work and help ensure these services reflect the highest standards of care and respect.”

This work builds on Altarum’s experience in applied research and analytics, and its decades-long commitment to improving care and services for Veterans through data-driven insight and program evaluation.

Our partnership with Tribility reflects a shared commitment to quality, accountability, and responsiveness. We are committed to ensuring Veterans and their loved ones are treated with the honor and respect they deserve.
