Sujata is a highly skilled information technology (IT) business analyst with over 16 years of experience in IT system development. In her role as a Senior Business Analyst, she collaborates with the Association of Public Health Laboratories Electronic Case Report (eCR) team, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other stakeholders to develop algorithms and analytical methodologies for validating eCR data that gets transmitted from electronic health record systems to public health agency (PHA) disease surveillance systems. As a subject matter expert, she offers technical support to PHAs by conducting interviews to understand their current eCR data processing system and guides them with alternate plans and solutions to improve overall process flow. Sujata finds fulfillment knowing that her efforts have a positive impact on patient care. She holds a Master of Science degree in computer application from Savitribai Phule Pune University, formerly the University of Pune, India, and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Andhra University, India.
