As part of COSSUP’s peer mentoring initiative, Altarum connects people to substance-use support services across urban, rural, and tribal communities. Peer support transforms lives by offering alternatives to emergency services and justice system diversion, filling care gaps and directing individuals toward treatment rather than incarceration.

Learn how Altarum is helping HRSA improve pediatric emergency readiness through the Regional Pediatric Pandemic Network (PPN). PPN provides hospitals with education, technical support, and expert access to ensure life-saving pediatric care during disasters. High pediatric readiness can drastically reduce child mortality rates.

Public health agencies struggle to ensure adequate support services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Connecticut, Ohio, and Rhode Island turned to Altarum to help them modernize their IDD systems. This decision enhanced support services, improving outcomes for the IDD community.

Better data means better public health. Through the Implementation Center Program, Altarum, alongside Mathematica, provides tailored support to modernize public health data systems. Public health agencies receive expert, hands-on guidance on adopting health IT standards, improving data exchange, and boosting efficiency.

Altarum gave the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) the guidance and support needed to modernize. Altarum assessed the department, created a detailed roadmap, and provided customized tools. KDHE is now equipped to anticipate public health challenges, strengthen governance and security, and improve efficiency and data sharing.

More than 2.8 million antimicrobial-resistant infections occur annually in the United States. Altarum’s MDRO Xchange provides near-real-time data on multidrug-resistant organisms (MDRO). Facilities can track and respond to MDROs, improving patient safety and infection control across Orange County, CA. Now, the MDRO Xchange is ready to go live across the country.

Connecticut's biennial Facilities and Services Plan (FSP) ensures efficient health care delivery, preventing excess capacity and duplication of services while identifying gaps in health care provision. Altarum's experts in Applied Research and Analytics updated the FSP for the first time since 2012.

Heart valve disease affects millions, yet many remain unaware of their risk. Palladian and the CDC Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention launched the Know Your Heart campaign to educate patients, providers and the public. We’re advancing early detection, better management, and lifesaving conversations. 

Tuberculosis, a global health crisis, kills millions each year. FAST-TB fosters collaboration to accelerate the development of TB treatments, removing silos and minimizing waste. Palladian Partners developed a communication plan and messaging documents to help them share their mission with potential partners.
